Hotel Nippon Colombo

I was particularly impressed with the helpful and friendly staff, who were attentive to my needs . The hotel's location is excellent.

Some cleanliness issues.

Historic-style building, well decorated rooms with terrace, balcony, as example. The restaurant was lovely, for breakfast🙂

It was the best of Colombo hotels I visited before now.

Room was nice with a comfy bed, but the air conditioning took ages to cool down.

the location of the hotel was favourable and amazing - just a short stroll away from a beira lake. stayed in new-fashioned and silent a double room with big private bathroom. thanks a lot for the fine stay, loved this place, i would definitely come back.

1 Clean rooms, helpful staff, cozy atmosphere, good breakfast options

The hotel is conveniently located near shopping and dining.

The cleanliness of the room was unacceptable. I found hair on the sheets, and it was like they hadn't changed them before my arrival. The air conditioning was ineffective.

the outdoor terrace is great but food service was too slow for us.

I was shocked at the level of neglect here. I found ants crawling on my bed, which really set the mood for my stay, or should i say, ruined it. And don't even get me started on the service, expected a complimentary gesture for my troubles but got nothing! I just couldn't give a good review, sadly.

The breakfast was nice, had custom made stuff which was cool. Rooms were small but super comfy, loved the balcony. The bathroom was nice too. Staff were friendly and helped me out a lot. The tea shop is awesome in the hotel.

Reception could be more friendly, felt kinda cold. Housekeeping took their time sometimes, but they did clean up once i asked.

enjoyable stay with charming atmosphere

The hotel's location is excellent an easy stroll to the Colombo City Center and nearby attractions. The architecture of the building is beautiful. I enjoyed the quiet area, complemented by a lovely coffee shop and restaurant right below, made for convenient dining options.

The breakfast could be improved, as it was just average.

the shower could use better water pressure (just a bit weak). but the breakfast was good, especially the sri lankan cuisine! ! super friendly staff and the property is really well maintained too.

The breakfast buffet had a decent selection, and the staff was attentive. My kids loved the nearby park, a great surprise for our family. It was nice to have a clean balcony for enjoying the evening breeze.

My kids wished for a better variety in the dining options.

Really good Stay with Amazing Service

The warm welcome set a positive tone for our stay. The rooms were clean and cozy, and I particularly appreciated the helpfulness of the housekeeping staff. My only issue was the long wait for food, which could use some improvement. I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking to stay in Colombo.

I stayed for 4 nights in a Standard Double Room. The room had a big space, and the shower was wonderful! The AC worked perfectly, and the lighting was great. I enjoyed having a balcony too. Super nice team and quick to bring anything I needed. But the breakfast was just okay, nothing fancy. There was some noise from the street, so maybe request a quieter room.
